Body Glove Left behind in Postoperative Patients

Parties to the Royal Derby Hospital , London finally gave a statement asking apology after one of the doctor's negligence . Doctors are known to negligent for leaving the body glove in postoperative patients .
As quoted by page Telegraph , Wednesday ( 03/12/2013 ) Sharon Birks ( 42 ) had a hysterectomy ( surgical removal of the uterus ) at the Royal Derby Hospital , London - UK in November. But he was not feeling well after the surgery and he thought , maybe she has an infection .
Report the matter to the hospital , finally Birks bladder scan to check for problems and the doctor prescribed antibiotics .
But after three days after surgery , a woman from Wirksworth , Derbyshire went to the toilet and found the gloves in his stomach .
'' At first , I just thought it might have something to do with my catheter . But maybe not , so I contacted the hospital to ask , " said Birks .
Seeing this , the chief executive of Derby Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust , Sue James finally apologized to Birks for the incident .
'' We are very sorry for the suffering experienced by Mrs Birks . Obviously this should not happen . Patient safety is very important and in the end we will make the case for a more thorough lesson again , "said Sue .
